Political Rant #2
This will probably piss off just about everyone I know. So be it. If it doesn’t piss you off:
1) You probably agree with, or at least understand, what I’m talking about
2) Are saying to yourself “Oh, here we go again, ANOTHER John rant!”
3) I’m not trying hard enough
4) All of the above
5) You don’t care, in which case, why are you reading this?
The first thing we do, lets kill all the banksters. Yeah, banksters, not bankers. Rhymes with “gangsters”. Fucking criminals, pure and simple. Fucking rob us blind with your fiat fractional reserve banking system and easy credit, privatize the profit, and socialize the debt. We get to bail you fuckers out while we sink into the mire, and you get to keep your jobs, the house in the Hamptons, the private jets, the vacations, etc. Fuck you. You are filth, leeches, scum. And then you tell my company that we need to cut people’s pay 10%, because you’re not happy with the state of the print industry. Yeah, thanks, that 10% was my monthly savings. Now we don’t save. Fuck you very much.
We have a friend that’s a bankster. Sorry, but fuck you. You have allied yourself with a den of thieves, scumbags, and liars. I’m glad climbing the corporate banking ladder has worked out for you. Clearly you understood where the money is, and pursued it. Clearly, I didn’t. Three years ago I gave myself a $24,000/year raise by starting a new job, making more than I have ever made thus far in my life. Now, I’m barely keeping up, once again. All the money I have saved in those three years has now dwindled down to nearly nothing, just trying to meet month-to-month expenses. Everything costs more this year; I can’t believe how much more we’re paying just on food alone. At least gas isn’t $4/gallon, like last year.
A great big “FUCK YOU!” to all of the politicians. You stupid fucks create the policies that ruin the lives of millions, all under the guise of helping us. You told the banksters to lend money to people that shouldn’t have been given loans to begin with, creating the current credit crisis. But hey, those banksters are clever bastards, they found plenty of ways to create clever instruments to sell off all that bad debt to a bunch of suckers, and turned a pretty profit for themselves in the process. And hey, you have us fucking milk-cows, the middle class, to bail all your asses out, when everything goes south on you. The taxpayer gets to foot the bill for the STUPID FUCKING SHIT that these parasites foist upon us, all contained in 1000+ page bills that NO ONE reads. Why do people continue to believe these bastards about ANYTHING? Can’t you see what’s going on? DIVIDE AND CONQUER, that’s what they’re doing to us. Works every time. These people are not your friends, and they don’t give a shit about you.
There’s no such thing as “TOO BIG TO FAIL”! If you don’t know how to fucking run your business, then get out! Honda and Toyota seem to be doing fairly well, despite the times, without picking my pockets. In the real world, you either stop doing what doesn’t work, changing the way you do things, or you fail and get out of the way to make room for someone who can make it work. Instead, we reward failure, and continue to put our trust in people (politicians) who have never run a successful business, or whose best qualifier on their resume is “community organizer.” These idiots wouldn’t know sound economics if it dropped on their heads.
And speaking of economics, fuck you to all of my friends that want to argue economics with me, but have little or no knowledge on the subject. Your Krugman and Marx talking-points only reveal your ignorance on the matter. Get back to me when you understand money, fiat, fractional reserve banking, monetary inflation, price inflation, the Federal Reserve System, the business cycle, the division of labor, etc. Until then, shut the fuck up, you are ignorant, pure and simple. “Sounds good” and “feels good” do not constitute good economic policy. I will not continue to argue with you. I was once like you. I believed silly crap, too, until I dug deeper and learned how things really work. You believe what you want to believe, I’ll believe what I want to believe. I’m sure you can find plenty of info to support your beliefs, as can I. I just don’t care, anymore.

Ever heard of Lewis Black? Given your current situation (which I’m sorry about), I think you would greatly enjoy much of his work. He does a particularly effective skit about facts and how both sides seem to have their own set. Best of luck to you as our country continues its downward spiral.

No, never heard of Lewis Black, but thanks for the heads-up, I’ll check it out.

I don’t know who the fuck Krugman is and my talking points are far more Rudolph Rocker than Karl Marx, but it doesn’t take a goddam economist (let us spit on them in passing, scum that they are)to figure out that we’re being dry fucked in a very uncomfortable place (and I don’t mean in the back of a Volkswagen)by the whole politico-usury-banking triumvate.
Back when Reagan was in office I learned all I really needed to know about economics: The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Near thirty years and aint a fucking thing has changed. The “economy” is just the insturment by which the rich and powerful beat the dogshit out of the rest of us. And it aint gonna change until the last banker is hung with the guts of the last politician.
I think on that we can agree, my friend.

Well, you didn’t piss me off with this rant, and it’s mostly because I fall into your category #1 up there.
It bugs the hell out of me how little most of the voting public understands about even basic economics…. that most of them think that the government can actually do ANYTHING to “fix” the economy.
When in fact it’s the government that hosed it all up to begin with.

Hey, John:
Court from Delaware. Wow, F’in great rant! I know it sucks!!!! The only permanent solution I have found is to create your own economy and deal with FRNs when absolutely necessary. Create your own currency, surround yourself with similar people who collectively can rely upon each other for the majority of your needs, i.e. Gaults Gulch scenario). Easier said than done, but it can be done. Legally only YOU can make a determination for yourself, unless you allow others to do it. Go ahead and create your own currency and network. This way you are far enough outside their system to impact you. If they try, file a motion for quo warranto and fry their ass. Look it up in your legal dictionary. Essentially if the municipality including state gov’t is misbehaving you can force them into receivership. It is a very nasty card to play. You must know what you are doing, so research the hell out of it. I have not.
In terms of my self-survival, I have created a working blue print for an alternative currency system for my area if times get tough. If times are tough, I know I will find more than enough businesses to go with me.
I will have to check in more often on your rants.

Court, good to hear from you, my friend! Oh yes, I will be checking out “quo warranto”. Still have my Black’s Law, 4th Edition! As always, I’m still trying to figure out where my Galt’s Gulch is. Hey, I’m even wearing my Galt’s Gulch t-shirt today!
As you can tell, I haven’t been around GIM much lately. I try to pop in a couple of times a month to read, but not post. Kinda just preaching to the converted, ya know?

Did you make the “eyeofliberty” intro thingy?…great stuff!
about your rant : great stuff too, i just read the equivalent here in my f***** country (france), i am not a blogger though but i see more and more people creating bloggs in order to try nd do something about this terrible situation here in the US, thus worldwide.
just one Q? how do you think it will turn out?
i dont see any possible non violent action to solve the problem (if you are knowledgeable about the ramification of the system), do you?
i am an anti-wall street trader, part of a independent network, for you to know who is writin to you. To me the only solution will be to be a step ahead of those crooks and outsmart them, can you people do this?
Sincerely
aquaRegia.

aRa, are you talking about the “Philosophy of Liberty” presentation? No, I didn’t create it, but I find it an excellent tool for helping people understand what liberty really means. Some get it, some don’t. About a year ago, my wife told me that the teenage kids of one of her friends watched it, and it was like an epiphany for them, it totally changed their thinking about life, liberty, government, etc. I was ecstatic, as most times I feel like all my ranting falls on deaf ears, or that I’m “preaching to the converted.” So, if just one person every now and again “gets it,” that’s enough to keep me going.
How do I think it will turn out? I’m with you: unfortunately, I also don’t see things changing non-violently: those with power will protect their power at any cost, and our system is far too entrenched and corrupt to change any way but by force. Sad but true. But I do believe that people can and will sidestep the bastards when and where they can, and I’m a firm believer in agorism and counter-economics, so as you say, “be a step ahead of those crooks and outsmart them.”
